Why Don't You Use an Oil Suspension, Liposomal, Emulsified, or Other Forms of CoQ10?
Our decision not to use ubiquinol in our Coenzyme Q10 product is based on several important factors.
Firstly, ubiquinol requires additional processing to stabilize and encapsulate it, which often involves unnecessary substances that compromise the purity of the product. The body naturally converts ubiquinone to ubiquinol as needed, ensuring effective use regardless of the form ingested. Although some studies suggest differences in absorption between ubiquinol and ubiquinone, these studies often involve specific conditions that do not reflect typical usage scenarios, such as fasting. We believe that taking ubiquinone with a meal containing fats can help improve its absorption.
Additionally, ubiquinone is more cost-effective to produce, allowing us to offer a higher dose at a better price while maintaining a clean and natural product. Ubiquinol is also more prone to oxidation, which can revert it back to ubiquinone before absorption, requiring protective measures that usually involve undesirable additives.
Furthermore, most ubiquinol supplements use beef gelatin in their encapsulation process, which may not be suitable for vegetarians or those with dietary restrictions. Therefore, we choose ubiquinone to provide a high-quality, effective, and pure CoQ10 supplement.
